Game recap

The Jets spend the afternoon with the ball

Geno Smith completed 19 of 24 passes for 215 yards, Breece Hall topped 100 rushing yards, and the Jets controlled a 23–10 win. One New York drive lasted nearly 12 minutes and 19 plays. Tennessee was getting a fairly complete view of the Jets' offense from the sideline.

Rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq scored on an opening-drive end-around, and Hall added a rushing touchdown after halftime. The Jets sacked Cam Ward three times and forced seven punts. Tennessee's late touchdown improved the score; it didn't change who had controlled the game.
