Buffalo was down 31–30 at its own four with 3:13 left. Josh Allen took the Bills the length of the field, finishing with a 34-yard touchdown to Joshua Palmer for a 36–31 lead. It was Palmer's only catch. An efficient way to become the person Houston least wanted to see.
Dalton Kincaid had 130 receiving yards, and DJ Moore added 100 and a touchdown. Houston still reached the Buffalo nine on its last possession before sacks from Deone Walker and Greg Rousseau ended the threat. Rousseau forced the fumble that finally let Bills fans breathe.
